Let's start with some history.

Source of image. The Crusades are generally portrayed as a series of holy wars against Islam led by power-mad popes and fought by religious fanatics. They are supposed to have been the epitome of self-righteousness and intolerance, a black stain on the history of the Catholic Church in particular and Western civilization in general. Those nasty Crusaders introduced Western aggression to the peaceful Middle East and destroyed the enlightened Muslim culture, leaving it in ruins. (Source.) That's what I'm sure you've heard countless times: Those dreadful Christian Crusaders sought out poor, innocent Muslims and killed them and destroyed their homelands. That's the story we've been told. But, is it fact, or is it fiction? Christians in the eleventh century were not paranoid fanatics. Muslims really were gunning for them. While Muslims can be peaceful, Islam was born in war and grew the same way. From the time of Mohammed, the means of Muslim expansion were always by the sword. (Source.) In traditional Islam, Christian and Jewish states must be destroyed and their lands conquered. When Mohammed was waging war against Mecca in the seventh century, Christianity was the dominant religion of power and wealth. As the faith of the Roman Empire, it spanned the entire Mediterranean, including the Middle East, where it was born. The Christian world, therefore, was a prime target for the earliest caliphs, and it would remain so for Muslim leaders for the next thousand years. (Source.) With enormous energy, the Islamic warriors struck out against Christians shortly after Mohammed's death. They were extremely successful. Palestine, Syria, and Egypt -- once the most heavily Christian areas in the world -- quickly succumbed. By the eighth century, Muslim armies had conquered all of Christian North Africa and Spain. In the eleventh century, the Seljuk Turks conquered Asia Minor (modern Turkey), which had been Christian since the time of St. Paul. The old Roman Empire, known to modern historians as the Byzantine Empire, was reduced to little more than Greece. In desperation, the emperor in Constantinople sent word to the Christians of western Europe asking them to aid their brothers and sisters in the East. (Source.) And that is what gave birth to the Crusades. Christians saw their choice was to do battle or be totally annihilated. It is often assumed that the central goal of the Crusades was forced conversion of the Muslim world. Not true. From the perspective of medieval Christians, Muslims were the enemies of Christ and His Church. It was the Crusaders' task to defeat and defend against them. That was all. Muslims who lived in Crusader-won territories were generally allowed to retain their property and livelihood, and always their religion. (Source.) By any reckoning, the First Crusade (1095-1099) was a long shot. There was no leader, no chain of command, no supply lines, no detailed strategy. It was simply thousands of warriors marching deep into enemy territory, committed to a common cause. Many died, either in battle or through disease or starvation. It was a rough campaign, one that seemed always on the brink of disaster. Yet it was miraculously successful. In 1099, Jerusalem was conquered, and it seemed the tide of history, which had lifted the Muslims to such heights, was now turning. (Source.) It was not. When we think about the Middle Ages, it is easy to view Europe in light of what it became rather than what it was. The colossus of the medieval world was Islam, not Christendom. The Crusades were an attempt to counter that trend. But in five centuries of crusading, it was only the First Crusade that significantly rolled back the military progress of Islam. It was downhill from there. (Source.) Crusading in the late twelfth century became a total war effort. Every person, no matter how weak or poor, was called to help in the Second Crusade (1145-1149). Warriors were asked to sacrifice their wealth and, if need be, their lives for the defense of the Christian East. Yet the Muslims grew in strength. (Source.) The Third Crusade (1189-1192) was by any measure a grand affair, although not quite as grand as the Christians had hoped. The Crusades of the 13th century were larger, better funded, and better organized, but they too failed. The Fourth Crusade (1201-1204) ran aground when it was seduced into a web of Byzantine politics, which the Westerners never fully understood. The Fifth Crusade (1217-1221) managed briefly to capture Damietta in Egypt, but Muslims eventually defeated the army and reoccupied the city. (Source.) One might think that three centuries of Christian defeats would have soured Europeans on the idea of the Crusades. Not at all. In one sense, they had little alternative. Muslim kingdoms were becoming more and more powerful in the 14th, 15th, and 16th centuries. The Ottoman Turks continued to press westward, capturing Constantinople and plunging deep into Europe itself. By the 15th century, the Crusades were no longer errands of mercy for a distant people but desperate attempts of one of the last remnants of Christendom to survive. Europeans began to ponder the real possibility that Islam would finally achieve its aim of conquering the entire Christian world. (Source.) In 1529, the Turks laid siege to Vienna. If not for a run of freak rainstorms that delayed progress, it is virtually certain the Turks would have taken the city. Then Germany would have been at their mercy. At that point the Crusades were no longer waged to rescue Jerusalem, but to rescue Europe itself. But then, something else was brewing in Europe, something unprecedented in human history: The Renaissance. With a deep respect for commerce and entrepreneurialism, it allowed Europe to expand on a global scale. The Protestant Reformation, which rejected the papacy and the doctrine of indulgence, made crusades unthinkable for many Europeans, thus leaving the fighting to the Catholics. In 1571, a Holy League, which was itself a crusade, defeated the Ottoman fleet at Lepanto. Eventually, the Muslim threat was not overthrown; it was neutralized economically. As Europe grew in wealth and power, the once awesome and sophisticated Turks began to seem backward and pathetic -- no longer worthy of a crusade. The "Sick man of Europe" limped along until the 20th century, when he finally expired, leaving behind the present mess in the modern Middle East. (Source.) I bet that description doesn't match too well with the Crusades history you've been taught by the mainstream media.

So, that's the history of the Crusades. What has taken place more recently?

Source of image. The First Barbary War occurred from 1801 to 1805, when the U.S. fought the Northwest African Berber Muslim states. Much like their standard operating procedures today, barbary pirates attacked American merchant shipping vessels to capture sailors and then demand ransom for their return. Before the formal independence of the United States, our shipping was protected by France. Our US Minister to France at the time, Thomas Jefferson, sent envoys to Morocco and Algeria to seek a diplomatic solution to the piracy. While diplomacy was successful with Morocco, it was not so with Algeria. In July 1785, Algeria captured two American schooners and all four Barbary Coast states demanded $660,000 each in ransom to prevent further piracy. To put that into perspective, this amount equaled about one-sixth of the entire US budget -- about the same percentage as our current healthcare budget. In fact, the continuing demands for ransom eventually led to the formation of the US Navy. And eventually, we sent the Marines to crush the Barbary States in Tripoli. -- Source.

So you can see, Muslims have not demonstrated a peaceful, happy-go-lucky, friendly attitude. Quite to the contrary. They have been hostile, trouble-making barbarians. They display no sympathy for others, just a blind lust to destroy anything and everything that stands in the way of Islamic rule and total Islamic domination. A world-wide caliphate was their objective in Muhammad's day and it remains so today.

So, with that perspective in mind, what have we been told in recent years about Muslims and Islam?

Bush "ISIL (the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) is not Islamic." . . . -- Barack Obama "I'm just hoping that people understand that Islam is peace and not violence." . . . -- Muhammad Ali

Ah, the beautiful religion of peace.

But if you take a few minutes to look on the Internet, you may come up with a different impression. Here are just a few photos I found of actions committed by Muslims in the name of Islam.


So, we see the "religion of peace" condones burning people, chopping off their heads, chopping off their hands, throwing people off the top of buildings, shooting them while in captivity, running over them with tanks, dragging them through the streets, hanging them, drowning them, and smashing large blocks of concrete on their heads. That's some "religion of peace!"

(I debated with myself whether or not to include these pictures with this article. Some made me ill. But I concluded it's necessary for readers to be confronted with the atrocities being performed by Muslims in the name of Islam. Check out the Internet yourself. There are a lot worse photos. I assume all the pictures shown here are in the public domain and are not copyright protected.)

As Muslim populations grow in a country, what happens? Dr. Peter Hammond has tried to categorize what happens.

Source. Dr. Peter Hammond's book, Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat, describes the expected impact to a country as its Muslim population increases. With a population at or below 2%, Muslims will be regarded, for the most part, as a peace-loving minority. This is the case in the United States (0.6%), Australia (1.5%), Canada (1.9%), China (1.8%), Italy (1.5%), and Norway (1.8%). At 2% to 5%, Muslims begin to proselytize, often with major recruiting efforts in jails and among street gangs. This is happening in Denmark (2%), Germany (3.7%), Spain (4%), Switzerland (4.3%), Thailand (4.6%), and the UK (2.7%). Source. Note that Dr. Hammond's percentages do not agree with those in the chart. The book was written in 2010, the chart is for 2014. From 5% to 10%, Muslims exercise an inordinate influence in proportion to their percentage of the population. For example, they'll push for the introduction of halal (clean by Islamic standards) food, thereby securing food preparation jobs for Muslims. They'll increase pressure on supermarket chains to feature halal on their shelves, along with threats for failure to comply. This is occurring in France (8%), the Netherlands (5.5%), Philippines (5%), and Sweden (5%). Muslims will also work to get the ruling government to allow them to rule themselves (within their ghettos) under sharia. The ultimate goal of Islamists is to establish sharia throughout the world. When Muslims exceed 10%, they tend to increase lawlessness as a means of complaint about their conditions. Any non-Muslim action offends Islam, and results in uprisings and threats, such as in Amsterdam, with opposition to Mohammed cartoons and films about Islam. Such tensions are seen daily in India (13.4%), Israel (16%), and Russia (15%). After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in Ethiopia (32.8%). Above 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare. From 60%, nations experience unfettered persecution of non-believers of all other religions (including non-conforming Muslims), sporadic ethnic cleansing (genocide), use of sharia as a weapon, and Jizya, a tax placed on infidels. After 80%, daily intimidation and violent jihad can be expected, along with some state-run ethnic cleansing, as these nations drive out the remaining infidels, and move toward 100% Muslim, such as has been seen in Egypt (90%), Indonesia (86.1%), Iran (98%), Iraq (97%), Jordan (92%), Pakistan (97%), Palestine (99%), Syria (90%), Turkey (99.8%), and the United Arab Emirates (96%). 100% will usher in the peace of "Dar-es-Salaam" -- the Islamic House of Peace. Here there's supposed to be wonderful and everlasting peace, because everybody is Muslim, Madrasses are the only schools, the Koran is the only word, and sharia is the only law, such as in Afghanistan (100%), Saudi Arabia (100%), Somalia (100%), and Yemen (100%). But, unfortunately, peace is never achieved. In countries that are 100% Muslim, the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims. -- Source.

Source. What did Europeans expect from this invasion of Muslims? Did they really expect peace and prosperity from a culture that has not contributed anything to civilization except piracy, invasion, beheading, and death? I don't want to hear about good Muslims. If Muslims were good, wouldn't I be hearing their calls of outrage? Wouldn't I be seeing them protest and speak out against their brothers? Paris is no longer Paris. London is no longer London. Most of Europe cannot recognize itself from five years ago. Europeans just surrendered, without a whimper or a fight. With no protest, they eagerly invited folks in who have been their enemies for thousands of years. -- Source.

Muslims demand sharia, or Islamic law. They demand that it must be the law of the land, and the only law of the land. It must reign supreme and all other laws must be invalidated.

What does sharia demand? Here's a glimpse.

Criticizing Muhammad or denying that he is a prophet is punishable by death. Criticizing or denying Allah is punishable by death. A Muslim who becomes a non-Muslim is punishable by death. A non-Muslim who leads a Muslim away from Islam is punishable by death. A non-Muslim man who marries a Muslim woman is punishable by death. . A man can marry an infant girl and consummate the marriage when she is 9 years old. (Source of photo.) A girl's clitoris should be cut. A woman can have one husband, who can have up to four wives. Muhammad can have even more. A man can beat his wife for insubordination. A man can unilaterally divorce his wife; a woman needs her husband's consent to divorce. A divorced wife loses custody of all children over 6 years of age or when they exceed it. Testimonies of four male witnesses are required to prove rape against a woman. A woman who has been raped cannot testify in court against her rapist(s). A woman's testimony in court, allowed in property cases, carries half the weight of a man's. A female heir inherits half of what a male heir inherits. A woman cannot drive a car, as it leads to fitnah (upheaval). A woman cannot speak alone to a man who is not her husband or relative. . Meat to eat must come from animals that have been sacrificed to Allah; that is "halal." (Source of graphic.) Muslims should engage in Taqiyya and lie to non-Muslims to advance Islam. (Taqiyya is an Islamic juridical term whose shifting meaning relates to when a Muslim is allowed, under Sharia, to lie. Here's a question: How can people who embrace a culture with the above principles and demands "melt" into the American culture? This is an important question because if they can't, the whole idea of E pluribus unum collapses. And if Muslims flood more and more into America, the entire American culture will eventually collapse.

Likewise, Islam demands that it must be the only religion in a country, the only religion of the entire world. All other religions must bow to Islam. Likewise, sharia must be the only law in effect across the world.

Okay, Islam is dangerous. But is it any more dangerous than other religions? The answer: yes.

Source. Sharia is the only religious law that is incompatible with democracy and human rights. Islam is the only major religion to have violent resistance, or violent Jihad, embedded into its sacred scriptures and endorsed by its founder. The prophet Muhammad is the only founder of a major religion to also be a warrior and military leader. -- Source.

Source. Islam is dangerous because Western man assumes it works by the same ground rules as the Judeo-Christian culture. But it doesn't. Islam's code of ethics was born in the caldron of seventh century middle eastern tribal warfare. Well-meaning Westerners, ignorant of Islam's global goals, fail to understand some of the terms used by Muslims. Islam's world view is summed up in two phrases: dar al-Islam, realm of Islam, and dar al-Harb, realm of war. In the realm of Islam, all members are in full submission to Allah and subject to sharia in all their activities. The other phase: realm of war is just that, Islam is basically at war with the rest of the world. When Islam puts on a moderate, peaceful, loving face, it can only be for the purpose of Taqiyya. That is, the Muslim doctrine that it is permissible to lie and deceive the members of the "realm of war," if it advances the cause of Islam. We are ignoring the war of infiltration. By taking advantage of the West's "tolerance," Islam has opened another front in the war. This is basically a war of religions. It's their god against our God. But the West has bought into humanism and eliminated the God of the Bible. Humanism's main tool is democracy to solve the world's ills. But when Muslim voters outnumber the others, then sharia will become the law of the land, forcing out all others. -- Source.

The religion is dangerous, and so are the people who follow it.

Source. Muslims are dangerous. There is no such thing as a "radical Muslim" for they are all radical according to their own holy book, the (Koran) Qur'an! If you read it, you will be shocked at what Muslims actually believe. They must take over the world for Allah and subject you to slavery and/or death. Islam actually means to subjugate. You must submit to Islam authority and its rule over you. The Qur'an says a good Muslim must behead or crucify all non-Muslims, and take over the world for Islam and institute Muslim rule. That is the core of the Islamic religion and it is the duty of all Muslims. All Muslims. When Muslims are in the minority they are silent, but when they grow in numbers they start their Jihad war action. You see this in Islamic nations and they run around with machetes killing Christians, Jews and non-Muslims, even other Muslims. Yes, Shiite Muslims will kill Sunni Muslims and vice versa. Muslims know all about strife, slavery, and war. Just look how they treat women, and you will see the true heart of Islam; dominance, slavery, cruelty, and injustice. Do you know Muslims have been trying to get sharia passed in the United Nations? It's true, and they are gaining votes each year in favor of instituting anti-blasphemy law. Such a law, if passed, will cripple and by-pass our U.S. Constitution. That's how Islam can invade our nation. If you say anything bad about a Muslim, you can be put to death! Many Islamic nations already have a blasphemy law in full force. -- Source.

The September 11, 2001 Muslim terror attack on the U.S. was but one in a long series of attacks by Muslims on Americans since 1972! Here's a list.

People all across the world saw and continue to see Muslim hate, the damage Muslims have caused, the loss of innocent lives, the utter evilness wrought by Muslims. So what do they do?

I can't explain it. Unless the label of "racist" is so feared, people will do anything to escape it. Even things that will ultimately cause their own demise.

Source. A Muslim can't recite the American Pledge of Allegiance because it says, "Liberty and justice for all," and the Koran does not recognize liberty and freedom for all people. Muslims also can't declare the words, "One nation, under God . . ." because Islamists call the American people the great satan and they despise the Christian God. When you see Muslims in other countries demanding "freedom" and "democracy" it is not the freedom and democracy we have. It is freedom for the Muslims, and freedom to dominate the country where they live and the entire world with Islamic rule and law. It is freedom to oppress you and obliterate the freedoms you believe in. -- Source.

We are left with a fundamentally important question: Should we eagerly encourage Muslim refugees and other Muslims to come and live in this country? By the thousands? By the tens of thousands? (Indeed, that seems to be the position of many citizens, particularly those in the leadership of the Democrat Party, since most Muslims tend to vote in significant majorities for Democrats. Reference.)

Or, should we be cautious about how many Muslims we allow to come here? (A large segment of the population appears opposed to such caution.)

Or, and this is of course most controversial: should we now prevent all Muslims from taking up permanent residency in the United States?

It seems clear to me that expanding Muslim populations will lead to expanding Muslim demands and an ever-increasing influence of sharia. Since sharia and our country's laws are totally incompatible, the answer to the question of increased Muslim presence here is inescapable.

The answer is inescapable . . . unless your objective is to overthrow the U.S. government, wipe out democracy, and assist in the establishment of a world-wide Islamic caliphate.
